McDavid is one of the leading sportswear and sports medicine equipment manufacturers in the United States. They wanted to boost their online profits and sales on their Magento site by providing a better user experience for their online shoppers and increasing their brand awareness in the online sports community.
The Challenge
McDavid had a large catalog of products that was often overwhelming to their online customers. They wanted to build better brand awareness while improving upon their online user experience. To achieve their ecommerce goals, McDavid knew that they’d need help from a certified Magento agency.
The Solution
Forix worked closely with McDavid to optimize their user experience, making on site navigation more intuitive and improving product recommendations. Together, we helped to redesign their product pages to improve presentation and enhance their line of protective sportswear and sports medicine equipment.
Research, UX/UI, and Design
The McDavid site was not user friendly and caused a great deal of confusion and frustration to their customers. Product categories were reorganized to provide a more concise flow throughout the site, which led to better product recommendations. Forix also made improvements to their on site search. The improvements to the site layout and user experience resulted in a 55% increase in revenue.
Analytics & Optimization
McDavid’s large product catalog was holding them back and creating an overwhelming experience for their customers. Forix redesigned their product pages, incorporating new icons and creating better visual representation of their products, along with improvements to product details and descriptions that more accurately describe the products’ purpose and benefits.
Support & Development
The McDavid website had a confusing flow and their on site navigation needed work. Forix created a better on site navigation that allows customers to shop by body part, product type, or sport, to more easily find the products they need. The new navigation created an improved flow of information through the site, and helped customers find related products more easily as well. The on site navigation improvements to the McDavid website resulted in a 44% increase in the overall number of transactions on the site.
